Monday Properties announced that Nestlé USA,Inc. has expanded its U.S. corporate headquarters at 1812 North Moore in Rosslyn, Virginia from 252,000 square feet to over 300,000 square feet, occupying a total of 14 floors. The expansion leaves approximately 150,000 square feet of contiguous, trophy office space at 1812 North Moore, one of the few remaining large block availabilities with direct access along the transportation spine in Northern Virginia.
Nestlé announced its relocation from Glendale, California to 1812 North Moore in February 2017, allowing the company to access the culture, talent and highly educated workforce that the Rosslyn submarket in Northern Virginia has to offer. The move was one of the largest corporate relocations in the region and reinforced Monday Properties’ strategic business thesis to develop an office project in Rosslyn of the highest quality design that would attract distinguished corporate tenants and access to top-tier talent.
“Our Rosslyn community continues to bring in some of the country’s finest companies, and we are pleased to play a significant part in this incredible momentum. This expansion further validates Nestlé’s decision to choose Rosslyn as it US headquarters over other jurisdictions not only in Northern Virginia, but the entire country. At 1812 North Moore, we offer the best amenities in the market for our tenants, including world-class conferencing and an expansive, fully equipped wellness center,” said Austin Freeman, Senior Vice President of Asset Management for Monday Properties. “We’re looking forward to continuing to build our relationship with Nestlé and its employees, as well as attract exceptional companies to our community that will benefit not only from a high quality office environment, but Rosslyn’s social and lifestyle transformation as a true destination hub for world class businesses.”
“Nestlé employees are not just acclimating to the Rosslyn community, they are thriving. Because of this, we are proud to expand our U.S.headquarters’ footprint at 1812 North Moore,” said Dawn Striff, Head of Workplace Solutions at Nestlé. “The move has enhanced the way the company does business and has aided our ability to attract the best and most innovative talent. The impressive amenities Rosslyn and the office building have to offer are key to serving a workforce that increasingly values a live-work-play environment.”
1812 North Moore is one of the tallest, and most iconic, office buildings in the D.C. area. The trophy tower is in the heart of the metropolitan area, directly connecting tenants to influential centers of commerce as well as world-class arts, dining and entertainment options. In addition, 1812’s LEED Platinum status translates to 32 percent less energy and 40 percent less water consumption. The building’s remaining leasable space provides future tenants with unmatched views and best in class amenities, situated alongside a “who’s who” tenancy, including Nestlé U.S., Gerber, Yext, Deloitte, Gartner, Accenture, Sands Capital, Raytheon and Grant Thornton.
