Monday Properties’ Executive Vice President of Operations, Jennifer Burns, has been named to the Washington Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business” list for 2024. Jennifer was recognized for her exceptional leadership at Monday Properties, her influence across the real estate industry and her ability to seamlessly execute complex negotiations and business strategies. The Washington Business Journal will celebrate Jennifer and her fellow honorees at an event in Washington, DC on October 30th.
Each year, “Women Who Mean Business” honorees are selected out of hundreds of nominations from Greater Washington’s business and nonprofit sectors. Winners represent a diverse group of industries, backgrounds and jurisdictions from around the region and are celebrated by the Washington Business Journal for their stewardship, innovation, and contributions to their organizations and the community at large.

As a dynamic leader, Jennifer oversees Monday Properties’ extensive office portfolio, managing property operations, information technology and marketing for five million square feet of office space including engineering, construction, parking and accounting. She has earned industry recognition for delivering top-tier amenities by placing a strong emphasis on reinventing the tenant experience and overseeing wellness certifications like Fitwel, LEED and Energy Star.

In the past 18 months alone, Jennifer has been instrumental in negotiating nearly 60 leases, totaling 450,000 square feet of office space in the greater Washington region. These deals include several headquarter relocations and significant market transactions. In addition, she has overseen $20 million worth of capital improvements across multiple Class-A office assets, including 1812 North Moore Street, The Towers, Three Ballston Plaza and Park Plaza.
