Monday Properties’ Executive Vice President of Operations Jennifer Burns has been named to GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum’s 2023 Women of Influence list in recognition of her outstanding achievements and leadership in the real estate industry.
GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum's Women of Influence List recognizes women who have made a significant impact in the commercial real estate industry through their stewardship, innovation, and contributions to their organizations and the community at large. Jennifer was recognized for her exceptional leadership, her ability to seamlessly execute complex negotiations and business strategies, and her expertise as an established industry leader. GlobeSt. will officially honor the nominees on July 25 at their annual awards dinner in Lake Tahoe, California.
It is an honor to be recognized as a Woman of Influence among so many impressive and inspiring women in the industry,” said Jennifer. “Thank you to the Monday Properties team for your unwavering support and commitment to innovation, which has propelled us to new heights."
Jennifer has been critical in the execution of several successful business plans, which have enhanced the tenant experience and helped set the bar as market demands continue to evolve. Jennifer is also responsible for overseeing the asset management and business strategies related to the firm’s office and multifamily portfolio. She has led the execution of several best-in-class amenity spaces across Monday Properties’ office and mixed-use portfolio, including the award-winning Conference Center and Lounge at 1812 N. Moore, and the recently delivered 12,000 SF Conference Center, Lounge and event space at 1000 Wilson Blvd. In addition, Jennifer provides executive-level oversight on the implementation of the firm’s critical wellness certifications and sustainability initiatives, including the intricate process of achieving the highest certification level within Fitwel’s Viral Response Module (VRM) for several commercial assets. She spearheads unique partnerships with PropTech leaders, including Kastle Systems and HqO, to launch meaningful solutions across the office portfolio.
As an industry expert, Jennifer recently participated in a panel at Bisnow’s D.C. Region Women Leading Real Estate event, where she emphasized the crucial role women play at every level of the industry. She emphasized that women in commercial real estate need to be advocating for their own advancement. At this year’s BOMA Conference, Jennifer will speak to the trends in smart building adoption and connectivity infrastructure investment.
“Jennifer has proven herself to be an extremely valuable asset to our team and is a big part of the company’s success today,” said Tim Helmig, Managing Partner at Monday Properties. “This award is a testament to her hard work and influence in the industry. I cannot think of someone more deserving.”
Jennifer joined Monday Properties in 2011 and has since been promoted five times. In her current role, she oversees the asset management, information technology, and marketing divisions, leading all operations for the firm’s 5.2M square foot office portfolio — including property management, engineering, construction management, parking, and property accounting. Jennifer also oversees the asset management and capital improvement plans for the firm’s 5,300+ unit multifamily portfolio. Prior to joining Monday Properties, she was a property manager at CB Richard Ellis, managing day-to-day operations of a 1M square foot portfolio in Rosslyn.
