Monday Properties, a dynamic real estate investment firm and industry-leading developer, today announced that Jennifer Burns will be joining the executive leadership team of Monday Properties as Executive Vice President of Asset Management and Operations. Over the last decade, Jennifer has played an integral role at Monday Properties and has been an essential component of the firm’s strategic growth, ambitious market expansions, and successful portfolio management.
Jennifer, who started as a Senior Property Manager in 2011, quickly advanced to Senior Vice President of Property Management and Operations, overseeing all aspects of property operations and tenant relations, including a series of industry leading capital improvement plans. Additionally, Jennifer played a critical role in performing due diligence for several of the firm’s most recent acquisitions spanning the last five years. These contributions, coupled with her proactive leadership and response during the pandemic, have contributed to Monday Properties’ strategic growth plans and solidified Jennifer as an unmatched influencer in the industry.
In her new role, Jennifer will be expanding her responsibilities to include oversight of Asset Management, Information Technology, and Marketing. She will continue to lead all operations for the office portfolio and supporting divisions—from property management, to engineering, construction management, parking and property accounting. As Monday Properties looks to invest in several significant capital improvement plans and acquisitions across its portfolio, Jennifer will oversee all aspects of project management, from design and space conceptualization to renovation and construction management, tenant improvement, and project delivery. The expansion of Jennifer’s position speaks to her ability to deliver best-in-class amenity experiences by leveraging her vast networks to raise the bar on each and every investment plan or operations service.
“We could not be more excited to welcome Jennifer to the executive team as a leader who advances strategic partnerships, implements best practices, and spearheads technology initiatives throughout our entire 4.5 million square foot portfolio,” said Timothy Helmig, Managing Partner at Monday Properties. “Her promotion not only underscores Monday Properties’ growth trajectory in the office sector, but also emphasizes her influence in this industry.”
Jennifer’s leadership, flexibility, and commitment to the needs of tenants and employees at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in best-in-class protocols and procedures that enhanced the health and safety of the community, earning Jennifer national recognition for her efforts during this crisis. She worked side by side with experts to define and communicate a broad range of individualized return-to-work strategies, including increased health and wellness policies and new safety protocols. Through unique partnerships with strategic providers, such as Kastle Systems, to enhance technological capabilities throughout the portfolio, Jennifer worked to ensure that tenants were comfortable returning to work. Most recently, Jennifer led the Operations team in achieving the Fitwel® Viral Response Module (VRM) certification at the entity level, a designation that highlights Monday Properties’ commitment to build occupant trust by implementing robust evidence-based strategies to promote healthy environments across its entire portfolio of office buildings.
“Monday Properties has always been at the forefront of innovation and differentiated execution that put us at an advantage to present strategic initiatives to our tenants, communities, and beyond. I’m so inspired and motivated to be part of this team,” said Jennifer Burns. “I look forward to beginning this new chapter and continuing to work with tenants, especially as they navigate their return to the office and hybrid work plans.”
Jennifer Burns has held the title of Senior Vice President of Property Management and Operations since 2018. Prior to joining Monday Properties, Jennifer was a Property Manager at CB Richard Ellis, managing day-to-day operations of a 1 million square foot portfolio in Rosslyn. Additionally, she is involved in multiple industry associations, including IREM Chapter 77 and AOBA committees, serving as both a member and chairperson.
